Virgil Alexander Hudson, Jr.

Virgil Alexander Hudson, Jr., 80, of Haymarket, VA, passed January 3, 2024.  He was born on January 2, 1944, and was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Bullard Hudson.  

Virgil was born to the late Virgil A. Hudson, Sr. and Lillie Mae Husdon in Augusta, GA. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior.  After graduating from Lucy C. Laney High School in Augusta, Virgil joined the US Navy where he served as a radioman during the Vietnam War..  Upon completion of his tour in the Navy, he worked for the US State Department Intelligence for over thirty years.

Virgil is survived by a son, Jason A. Hudson of Haymarket, VA; a step-daughter, Carla Springer and a step granddaughter, April Springer both of New York, NY; a step grandson, Alan Springer; and a brother-in-Law, William Bullard of Augusta, GA.
 
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, 10:00 am,  at Haymarket Baptist Church, 14800 Washington St., Haymarket, VA, 20169.  
 
Interment with military honors will be in Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, VA.
