Vincent Stribling Obituary

Vincent Anderson Stribling began his life’s journey on December 25, 1977 in Winchester, Virginia, in the hands of his parents, the late Richard Wallace Stribling, Jr. and the late Wendy Ann (Latimer) Stribling. His journey ended on September 13, 2020, as he slipped into the comforting presence of his Lord and Savior.

Vincent secured his eternal destination, when he accepted Christ; and was baptized on February 2, 2003 at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Rectortown, Virginia, under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Norman Smith.  He later moved his membership to Beulah Baptist Church, Broad Run (Pilgrims Rest) on July 7, 2019 under the leadership of his brother and pastor Rev. Verdice Stribling.

He received his education in the Fauquier County Public School system. After graduating high school, he attended Potomac State College in Keyser, West Virginia.

Midway through his journey, Vincent married Maria (Johnson) Stribling on May 19, 2007; and their union was blessed with two sons, Rylan and Isaac. He was their dad and they were his heart beat.

Vincent was a man of many trades from working in warehouses, roofing, heating and cooling, moving and storage, and landscaping. He was also a man of many talents. Several of which became his hobbies, among his favorites were music and sports. He was a gifted musician. He was an accomplished high school and college football player.  He loved coaching his sons’ youth football and baseball teams.

Undoubtedly, one of Vincent’s most memorable qualities, was his sense of humor. The memory of his jokes, his smile, and his ability to make others laugh, will be forever remembered in the minds of all who knew and loved him.

Vincent’s life touched so many. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Maria Stribling of Stephens City, VA; two sons:  Rylan Stribling; and Isaac Stribling of Stephens City, VA; one brother: Rev. Verdice Stribling (Adia) of Paris, VA;  his father in-law, Thomas Johnson (Shirley) of Marshall, VA;  one godson (nephew): Victor Stribling of Paris, VA; his two aunts: Dorothy (Larry) Suggs of Bristow VA, who was also his godmother; and Carolyn Hill of Falls Church VA;  two uncles: Howard Latimer of Rectortown, VA, and James Latimer (Joyce) of Haymarket, VA, along with a host of extended relatives and a multitude of  friends.

His presence will be missed but forever remembered!
