Stephen Matthew Rutland, 41, passed July 27, 2019.
 
He is survived by a son, Elijah Wilkerson of Baltimore MD, father Johnnie Rutland of Clifton VA, devoted mother, Billie Rutland of Falls Church VA, a sister, Kristin Rutland of Springfield VA, nephew, Jimmy Fennell of Springfield VA, host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends of California.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, 11:00 am, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 4325 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, Virginia, 22030.  Rev. Dr. Jeffery O. Johnson Sr. will deliver the eulogy.
 
Inurnment will be in Bright View Cemetery, Warrenton, Virginia.
