St. Elmo "Sonny" Smith, Jr.

St. Elmo "Sonny" Smith, Jr., 83, of Culpeper, VA, passed June 15, 2025.   He was born on February 15, 1942.   
  
Sonny is survived by his wife, Janette H. Smith of Culpeper, VA; a daughter, Malia (Wesley) Cropp of Culpeper, VA; three sons: Nathaniel (Mitzi) Smith of Fredericksburg, VA, Jared (Samara) Smith of Melborne, Australia, and Shawn (Stacey) Smith of Fredericksburg, VA; two brothers: Michael (Barbara) Smith of Washington, DC, and Timothy Smith of Washington, DC; two sisters: Margrette (James) Kennedy of Silver Spring, MD, and Jasmine Jones of Washington, DC; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. A daughter, Delphia Ferguson preceded him in death.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 10 am until 11 am with funeral services starting at 11 am at Mt. Morris Baptist Church, 5342 Leeds Manor Road, Hume, VA, 22639.
  
Interment will be in Mt. Morris Community Cemetery, Hume, VA.
