Melvin Pope

Melvin Pope, 73, of Woodbridge, VA, passed October 2, 2020.  He was born on February 24, 1947, and was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Barbour Pope.

Melvin is survived by his daughter, Gloria Pope-White of Woodbridge, VA; eight sisters: Barbara Hunt of Alexandria, VA, Coral Lassiter of Philadelphia, PA, Stephanie Beale of Woodbridge, VA, Rachel Janet (Brian) Simms of Richmond, VA, Brenda (David) Morgan of Hyattsville, GA, Debbie (Daryl) Williams of Laurel, MD, Denise Pope of Richmond, VA, Diaphine (Reginald) Holland of Charlotte, NC; two brothers: Donnie (Jill) Pope of Woodbridge, VA, Alvin (Michelle) Pope of Richmond, VA; two grandchildren: Linsdsay White of Alexandria, VA and Sydney White of Woodbridge, VA; one great-grandson, Zion; and a great-granddaughter, Nadia.
 
Family will receive friends on Monday, October 19, 2020, from 10 am until 11am at Greater Little Zion Baptist Church, 10185 Zion Drive, Fairfax, VA, 22032.  Funeral services will be private.  Rev. Dr. Spencer F. Isaac will deliver the eulogy.
 
Interment with military honors will be in Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
