Mary Ann (Haley) Thomas

Mary Ann Thomas of Haymarket, VA, departed this life peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026, at home in Haymarket, Virginia, with her beloved husband by her side. She was born on February 5, 1938, in Markham VA, the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Moore. She attended Loudoun County Public Schools and was baptized at a young age.

Mary is survived by her husband, Samuel Thomas of Haymarket, VA; four daughters: Sheila Ann Thomas of Fairfax, VA, Betty Jean Wilkerson of Haymarket, VA, Lisa L. (Marc) McSwain of South Riding, VA, Linda D. (Ricky) Williams of Manassas, VA; one son, Samuel Robert Lee Thomas, III (Tim) of Alexandria, VA; four sisters: Veonia Haley of South Riding, VA, Helen Moore of Stephens City, VA, Lois Moore of South Riding, VA, and Diane Moore of South Riding, VA.
  
Family will receive friends on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 10 AM until 11 AM with funeral services starting at 11 AM at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 4203 Mountain Road, Haymarket, VA, 20169. Rev. Dr. George W. Farmer, Jr. will deliver the eulogy.
  
Interment will be in Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Haymarket, VA.
