Jennifer Mallory Gray, 74, of Amissville, VA, bid her earthly farewell on Sunday, June 2, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering dedication to her community.
Jennifer was a very involved member of the community and was a proud member of many organizations including: 4H, WBRBA Women's auxiliary, Rappahannock Senior Center, George Washington Carver Alumni Association, Amissville Women’s Progressive Club, and American Cancer Society - Relay for life. She was a tenured member of Bethel Baptist Church and served her congregation as a church clerk, Deaconess and choir member.
Jennifer's dedication to community involvement was matched only by her devotion to her family. She is survived by her son, John W. (Ann Marie) Mallory; her cherished granddaughters: Shadae Mallory and Ariana Warren; and her loving brothers: John H. (Rose) Mallory and Jerome (Rosie) Mallory. Jennifer was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hazel Randolph Gray; her mother, Jeanne Wilson Mallory; and her father, John Horace Mallory, Sr.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 10 am until 11 am with funeral services starting at 11 am at Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Center, 15044 Ryland Chapel Road, Rixeyville, VA 22737. Rev. Ludwell Brown will officiate and Rev. Henry Hall will deliver the eulogy.
Interment will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Amissille, VA.
The family will host a repast following the interment at Bethel Baptist Church in Amissville, VA.
