James Linwood Yates

James Linwood Yates, 88, of Casanova, VA, passed December 21, 2021.
 
He was born on April 4, 1933, and was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Yates.

James is survived by a daughter, Ethel Fitzhugh of Warrenton, VA; a son, Gary Yates of Warrenton, VA; two sisters: Helen Robinson of Midland, VA, and Sylvia DeShone of Bealeton, VA; two brothers: Roy Yates of Midland, VA, and Carl Yates of Midland, VA; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren; .
 
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 12 pm, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 4487 Ebenezer Church Road, Midland, VA, 22728.  Rev. George Coghill, Sr. will deliver the eulogy.
