Gregory Sylvester Carter

Gregory Sylvester Carter, 68, of Warrenton, Virginia received his trophy on February 19, 2026. He was born in Warrenton, Virginia on December 18,1957, to the late Charles and Rosalie Carter. 

He graduated from Fauquier High School in 1977 and in 1980 he married Aneva Morton. This union was blessed with two children.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of 45 years, Aneva Carter; his children-Whitney Herron(Dwann) and SpencerCarter(Samantha); his grandchildren Channing and Londyn Herron; His sisters: Rhoda ”Paula” Carter and Faye Carter; His brothers: Charles Carter (Thelma) and Ricky Carter (Velvet); His brother and sister in laws: Monte and Yvette Coleman and Brian and Kim Morton. A host of beloved godchildren, adored nieces and nephews- special aunts, uncles, cousins and forever friends. You know who you are by the life you shared with him. 

Greg lived a life so He will be missed -not just remembered!

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 10 am until 11 am with funeral services starting at 11 am at Faith Christian Church, 6472 Duhollow Road, Warrenton, VA. 20187.

Rev. Brian Morton will officiate and Rev. Leonard Morton, Sr. will deliver the eulogy.

Interment will be in the Tapscott Family Cemetery, Warrenton, VA.
