Geraldine Stuart Obituary

On May 27, 2026, Geraldine Stuart went Home to Glory surrounded by her loving family.

Geraldine was a devoted servant of God whose kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit touched everyone blessed to know her. She carried herself with grace and brought peace, comfort, and encouragement to those around her throughout her life. Her unwavering faith was the foundation of her life and a source of strength for her family and friends.

As she often spoke of throughout her life, Geraldine is now reunited with the many friends and family members she faithfully kept in touch with through her daily "phone call rounds." She especially rejoins her beloved husband, Lafayette Stuart, who preceded her in death on October 11, 2010.

Geraldine found great comfort, fellowship, and lasting friendships through her church family at Marshall Baptist Church. When declining health made it impossible for her to attend services in person, the visits, prayers, and music ministry provided by church members brought her immeasurable joy and encouragement. Their faithfulness and love were a blessing to her and a testament to the caring spirit of her church family.

Geraldine leaves behind her loving daughters, Brenda Howard, Betty Harmon, Regina Stuart, and Delilah Thomas. She was a cherished mother-in-law to Charles Howard, Donald Harmon, and Kenneth Thomas.

She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Candice Howard, Stuart Howard, Ashley Harmon, Brandon Thomas, and Erin Thomas, as well as her five great-grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy and pride.

Geraldine is also survived by her dear cousins, Carrol and Roberta Tracey, who provided loving support following the passing of her husband; Mrs. Diane Lewis and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

Geraldine's love, faith, compassion, and steadfast devotion to family created a lasting impact that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be greatly missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior and reunited with those she loved.

Her legacy of faith, kindness, and unconditional love will remain an enduring blessing to generations to come.
