Eugene Delano Tapscott

Eugene Delano Tapscott, 91, of Nokesville, VA, passed January 17, 2025.  He was born on March 4, 1933, and was preceded in death by his wife, Antoinette Tapscott.

Eugene was a retired Colonel in the US Army and served in Korea and Vietnam.

Eugene is survived by his daughter, Audrey (Karl) McGrew of Nokesville, VA; two sons: David Wayne (Teresa) Tapscott of Suffolk, VA, Steven Eugene (Lisa) Tapscott of Panama City, FL; a sister, Maureen T. Smith of Nokesville, VA; five brothers: Kenneth (Nellie) Tapscott of Nokesville, VA, Donald (Jean) Tapscott of Nokesville, VA, Barry (Paula) Tapscott of Bowie, MD, Glenn (Delora) Tapscott of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Keith R. (Mialyn) Tapscott of Glendale, MD.
 
Family will receive friends on Saturday February 1, 2025, from 10 am until 11 am with funeral service starting at 11 am, at Joynes Funeral Home, 29 N. Third St., Warrenton, VA, 20186.  Rev. Carol Rogers will deliver the eulogy.
 
Interment will be in Colvin Family Cemetery, Nokesville, VA.
