Clifton Raymond Rector

Clifton Raymond Rector, of Lorton, VA, was born on April 9, 1954, in Washington, DC. to the late Leven and Josephine Rector.  He grew up in Fauquier County and was baptized at an early age.  He attended Fauquier County Public Schools and began his career with the City of Falls Church in June of 1973.

After battling an illness for over three years, Clifton departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, with his devoted wife and sons by his side.

Clifton is survived by his wife, Edith Rector; three sons, Leon Carter, Clifton J. Rector, and Andrew Rector;  five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  He is also survived by two brothers, Levering Rector and James Rector (Agnes); two sisters, Jacquline Carter and Joann Smith (Rodney); many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, 11:00 am, at St. John Baptist Church, 9502 Green Road, Midland, Virginia, 22728.  Pastor Rodney L. Smith, Sr. will deliver the eulogy.
