Cassandra Delores (Essex) Blackwell

Cassandra Delores Blackwell, 75, of Woodbridge, VA, passed December 25, 2025.  She was born on July 3, 1950.   

Cassandra is survived by a daughter, Michelle Blackwell of Woodbridge, VA; one son, John Mitchell Blackwell, Jr. of Woodbridge, VA; two sisters: Janice Hedgepeth and Katherine McFail of both of Dale City, VA; two brothers: Edward Essex, Jr. of Washington, DC, and James Essex of Falls Church, VA. 
  
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10 am until 11 am with funeral services starting at 11am at Cross Roads Baptist Church, 10469 Shenandoah Path, Catlett, VA, 20119. Rev. Earl King will deliver the eulogy. 
  
Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Memorial Park, Annandale, VA.
