Carson "Spooney" Weaver, 82, of Bealeton, VA, passed away at Prince William Hospital on December 17, 2024.
Born on March 28, 1942, Carson was a lifelong resident of Bealeton. He was known for his quiet, introspective nature and was the son of the late Carson Weaver and Lucy Weaver. He was preceded in death by his three sisters and one brother. Though Carson led a largely solitary life, he remained close to some of his cousins, with a special bond shared with his cousin, Elaine, who he cherished dearly.
Carson never married and did not have children, but his legacy lives on through the many lives he touched. A graduate of Taylor High School, Carson was an exceptional student, consistently ranking among the top in his class. He had an immense love for history and was considered a walking encyclopedia on nearly every historical topic. His passion for learning about the past shaped much of his life, and he took great pleasure in sharing his knowledge with others.
After completing his education, Carson worked primarily from home, engaging in various sales ventures. However, it was his fortune-telling business that brought him remarkable success. Carson’s exceptional abilities earned him a loyal following, with people from all over the world sending letters and money in hopes of receiving his guidance. Though a deeply private individual, Carson’s talents were widely recognized.
Carson's family and friends will remember him for his quiet intelligence, his vast knowledge of history, the unique life he led, and his unyielding commitment to his craft. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 11 am until 12 pm with funeral services starting at 12 pm at Joynes Funeral Home, 29 N. Third St., Warrenton, VA, 20186. Dr. Decker H. Tapscott, Sr. will deliver the eulogy.
