Bernard Edward Mullen, Sr., 84, of Morrisville, VA, passed April 4, 2021. He was born on September 28, 1936.
Bernard loved the Lord and was an avid Bible reader. He studied his bible regulary. He also loved history and was a true historian who loved the history channel and reading any and everything he could. He also loved the arts and classical music. He attended many Piedmont Symphony Orchestra concerts. Tchaikovsky was his all time favorite composer. "Showboat" was his favorite Broadway play. His favorite tune from "Showboat" was "Old Man River." He loved to sing it every chance he got.
Bernard is survived by wife, Lelia Elizabeth Mullen of Stafford, VA; a son, Bernard Edward (Sharon) Mullen Jr. of Stafford, VA; three daughters: Linda L. (Martin) Reid of Myrtle Beach, SC, Karen P. (Eustace) Galvez of Bowie, MD, Katherine Y. (Charles) Jackson of Manassas, VA; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Interment with military honors will be in Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
