Alicia Lynn Tines, 24, of Bealeton, VA, the daughter of Kim Tines (Howard) and Stanley Tines, passed away July 2, 2022. She was born on March 25, 1998, Warrenton, VA.
Alicia was raised and educated in the Fauquier County Public School System, graduating from Fauquier County High School in May 2016. In her younger years, she loved to go fishing with her father and sister, playing with the farm animals and reading. Alicia had a passion for artwork, her drawings and paintings spoke for themselves and were much admired not only by friends and family, but also by her acquaintances and educators. She loved gaming with her friends, enjoying alternative music in her free time to include Dance Gavin Dance and Deftones, cooking delicious dishes, animals and nature. She spent many of her days in the great outdoors, swimming and camping amongst those dearest to her. Alicia was also an avid mechanic who liked to work on her own vehicle, always aspiring to advance her abilities with her desire to attain her qualification, some day. Alicia demonstrated characteristics of being friendly, soft-spoken, warm-hearted, thoughtful, fearless, genuine and humble. She always knew when to crack a joke, making others around her laugh, putting a smile on others’ faces. She truly wanted the best for everyone and anyone, and she will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of those who love her dearly.
Alicia leaves to cherish her smile and memories, her mother, Kim Tines (Howard); her father, Stanley Tines; her sister, Destinee Mota (Stallworth), her two brothers: Anthony Howard and Brian Howard; her nieces and nephews: Carlee Howard, Catalina Howard, Dominic Howard, Pierce Howard, Jaycee Howard; her grandfather, Ernest J. Howard; her grandmother, Sharon Tines; her uncles: Richard “Rick” Wood, Patrick “Pat” Carroll, Richard “Rick” Moreland, Kevin Harris and Donald Mason; her aunts: Karen Wood, Robin Bonora, Gail Carroll, Lynn DeGrasse, Pam Moreland, Leslie Harris, Diane Mason, Valerie Anderson, and Martha Hawkes; and several cousins. Alicia was preceded in death by her grandmothers: Jeannette “Jean” Winslow (Sawyer) and Alice Halfacre; her grandfathers: Arthur Sawyer and Reginald Tines; and her uncle, Larry Tines.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 2022, from 10 am until 11 am with funeral services starting at 11 am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2932 Atoka Road, Rectortown, VA, 20140. Rev. Verdice Stribling will deliver the eulogy.
Interment will be in Tines Family Cemetery, Marshall, VA.
